Balenciaga Bag Review w/ Pictures

One day I just woke up and had a strong desire for a Balenciaga Bag.  I don't know  where this sudden urge came from but it was rather intense. I visited the Balenciaga website a trillion times trying to decide if I wanted GH( Giant Hardware), Regular Hardware, etc. and what color combination would best suit my needs- Rose gold with taupe, black on black black on  gold, black on silver hardware etc. These bags come in so many beautiful color combos it  took a while to figure out the perfect bag. I  really wanted a cute everyday bag that was chic and had that element of edge and I felt that the Balenciaga City Bag was the perfect bag for that. I am in the market for a new tote bag. I want something that is casual and super cute. On my super chill days I wear my Sakroots bag that I love. It is a cloth bag that wears around the body messenger style and I have my Burberry tote... that is super casual but sometimes I am not in the mood for the plaid print. Here are some options that I am deliberating about. What do you guys think?

Hey Gang,

Today was a good day. Praise God. I was going for work casual with a twist. How many times have you seen faux fur at the office- not often I assume, but I figured a clever way out of a structured silhouette for something to allow me to breathe, relax and be free. It also allowed me to wear the tightest pant imaginable and play it off as office ok.LOL. Anywho,  I really really  love all colors, and today's palette was my interpretation of winter summer. Yes winter summer... with muted shades of silver, blue, greys and fur with a plaid tote for a nice contrast. The sun was my main accessory today, it added just the right amount of brightness I needed to give energy to my calm palette. I love how all things work together.

Today, I was invited to a premiere for a new HBO series titled, "Girls". The premier was held at the Dunes Gallery in the Columbia Heights area. The event was cute- good cocktails and really great popcorn. Anywho, Straight from work I headed to this event. Today's look was all about soft cool tones with a pop of neon on the nails and feet. I like mixing odd colors together and making them make sense. The great thing about black in white in general is that it goes with EVERYTHING. So I accented a black and white outfit with neutrals: a soft neutral pink pashmina, soft grey handbag and mixed in some bright  primary colors to accessorize. I don't like to think of accessories as objects, like earrings, bracelets, shoes etc. I think colors are accessories. They can add life to black or white. Denim Overload with Rihanna

Denim shirts are my new obsession!!!!!!! I remember I had a Levi's denim shirt in junior high school and I loved that shirt-back then I would try to match it with the same color denim bottom but not so much today. Denim shirts are versatile and can be worn with just about anything. I think the denim shirt is the white collar shirt revamped. Definitely a classic piece you should have in your wardrobe. Rihanna has definitely ignited my desire again for the denim shirt . It is no secret,  I love Rihanna style a lot, and I think she is drop dead gorgeous!!!! Here is to one stylish lady. Rih Rih...  Rocking her denim!!!!!

OOTD- MID-WEEK CASUAL COMFORT

Today after a long day at the office, I met up with my GFF Monet King-communications specialist for a long overdue business meeting, pizza      and yummy cupcakes.  I was in between moods today, a part of me wanted to be mid- week dressy casual and the other half wanted total comfort. Today's Outfit of the Day(OOTD) is a combo of both moods. Instead of wearing a pauncho, or wool coat- I added a bit of dress flair with a shiny linen MK trench coat,  and added total comfort with my favorite juicy couture sneaks. It was the perfect outfit for my mid-day outing. -chiffon sparkle

It was a beautiful 80 something degrees today in the City. I was feeling easy and breezy and wanted a look that was effortless, appropriate for work and could later turn into a nice outfit for cocktails- well water for me, but
you know what I mean! This is how I wanted to do spring in the city- with pleats.

Easter RELOADED

Easter is quickly approaching, and I know for a lot of you this is the last minute home stretch to get the best looks for the holidays. Soft  pretty pastels are everywhere because they are the most common shades associated with Easter. This year I would like to challenge you to find a way to do Easter in a more lively fashion. Let's Go NEON!!!!! This season is ALL about electric hues of red, blue, pink, green, yellow, orange, blue, and white. Instead of rocking the same ole poofy baby pink and powder blue.. I created this look with the girl on the go in mind- who has a lot to do and wants to do it in style.
