 The new trends in designer sunglasses for the Spring/Summer 2012 feature both exaggerated shapes and sizes. This season is all about the geek squad, the hipster, the enigma, the jetsetter etc. Everything is exaggerated and I am such a fan of anything that adds a little drama in my life.   Exaggerated cat eye sunglasses, by designers such as Missoni, or exaggerated hearts, ovals and diamonds, by designers such as Giles, are all seen in trendy designer collections for the season.  The classically traditional fashion sunglasses i.e. aviators, will remain a popular options as well this year. Designer sunglasses by Viktor&Rolf make a interesting appearance in the classic style of round that has been popularized by entertainers such as Sir Elton John and Lady Gaga.

OOTD: Wings and Things

I had a fabulous night at the Kennedy Center in DC last night to see Prague Philharmonic Orchestra. I didn't have much time to prepare for this event and had literally 3 minutes to get home and get dressed- so when all else failed a little black dress was my savior. Every woman should own a little black dress or two- Especially when things/events pop up! I didn't do much accessorizing, I was really going for super simple look. ALL BLACK ERRYTHANG!

I attended a fashion event today for the launch of the Red Zipper Company and could not resist wearing this really cute Maggy London Waffle Dress that I had for over four years and never worn it. I absolutely love the mod influence and this kelly green is just simply amazing.

I was in Saks in Chevy Chase, and my favorite SA pulled these beauties from the back. I tried them on and fell in love with them. They are so sexy and just a beautiful beautiful shoe. This shoe retails for about $1200. Do we like them?

Hood for Trayvon

Sunday at church my Pastor requested that everyone wear a hood in remembrance of Trayvon Clark, A teen who was senselessly followed and murdered. This post is less about fashion/or what I am wearing- but more about awareness that we are ALL resposible for each other- we must learn to LIVE in LOVE!!!! RIP TRAYVON and all the other people who have lost their lives at the hands of HATRED. Peace and Blessings.

Praise Break: Giving praises to the MOST HIGH... This is my Sunday Church gear this week. Most people would say this is too radical for church. I will just say this is a reflection of how I feel . Colorful, Joyful and Blessed- especially to be myself without compromise or regret.  I hope you like it!!!

We are all  blueprints in motion that God specifically mapped out to simulate "life-like" images.  The love of God will assist in the connection we need to become less abstract. The goal is to actualize our full potential and seek what is already within.  In our own lives- it is imperative that we connect the dots that will transcend beyond spots to unveil our personal picture lucidly.  How you choose to connect your dots is up to you.-

These long flowy skirts are definitely trending right now. I kinda dig them. I love the fabric of the dress. It is really festive. I wish I wasn't all of 5 foot 5 but I would probably want to rock it with a crop fitted top to elongate the look a bit. Either way, I see what Bey was going for... but do you think she hit it- or missed it?

Kanye West for 5,800 Alex

Music superstar Kanye West has teamed with infamous shoe designer Guiseppe Zanotti for what appears to be a very extravagant collaboration. Kanye is known for his avant-garde fashion sense and personality and  has merged with some of the most powerful fashion houses in the world. On January 22, 2009, during Paris Fashion Week, West introduced his first shoe line designed for Louis Vuitton. The line was released in summer 2009. On October 1, 2011, Kanye West premiered his women's fashion label, DW Kanye West at Paris Fashion Week, which is named after his late mom- Donda West. He received a lot of support from well accomplished designers such as: DSquared2 duo Dean and Dan Caten, Olivier Theyskens, Jeremy Scott, Azzedine Alaïa, and the Olsen twins, who were also in attendance during his show. His debut fashion show received  a medly of high and low notes from critics but his passion for fashion has brought him to continue exercising his talents with his latest invention -the 5,000 sandal. I think this shoe is a direct blueprint of all the the quirky in Kanye's brilliant mind.
